Please read this Shipping Policy carefully before placing an order. By ordering from our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.





1. Split Shipments (Live Shrimp vs Non-Live Goods)



To ensure the health and safety of live shrimp:


  • Live shrimp are shipped separately from all other items
  • Non-live goods, including shrimp food, botanicals, dry goods, and snails, are shipped together



Orders containing both live shrimp and non-live items may arrive in separate parcels.





2. Shipping of Non-Live Goods (Including Snails)



All non-live items, including shrimp food, botanicals, dry goods, and snails, are shipped via:


  • Royal Mail Second Class



Delivery times are estimates only and may vary. We are not responsible for delays caused by Royal Mail.





3. Shipping of Live Shrimp



Live shrimp are shipped using Royal Mail Tracked services only. Customers may choose from the following options at checkout:



Option 1: Free Delivery – Royal Mail Tracked 24



  • This service is free of charge
  • Tracked 24 does NOT guarantee next-day delivery
  • Delivery typically occurs within 24–48 hours
  • Live shrimp shipped via Tracked 24 may arrive the day after dispatch or the following day




Option 2: Guaranteed Saturday Delivery



  • This is a paid option
  • Must be selected at checkout
  • Delivery is guaranteed for Saturday
  • Orders not selecting this option will not be upgraded automatically






4. Dispatch Times



All orders are dispatched on the next working day.


Example:


  • Order placed on Monday → dispatched Tuesday
  • Live shrimp sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 may arrive Wednesday or Thursday



Dispatch refers to when the parcel leaves us, not when it is delivered.





5. Delivery Times & Responsibility



  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed, except where explicitly stated (Guaranteed Saturday Delivery)
  • The official delivery time is the time recorded by Royal Mail tracking
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive live shrimp deliveries



We are not responsible for delays caused by:


  • Royal Mail
  • Weather conditions
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses
  • Missed delivery attempts






6. Important Notes for Live Shrimp Orders



  • Live shrimp should be unpacked immediately upon delivery
  • DOA claims are subject to our Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy, which forms part of our Terms & Conditions
  • Failure to follow delivery and claim instructions may invalidate any DOA claim
