To thrive, Caridina shrimp require stable, soft, and slightly acidic water—often achieved using buffering soils in combination with RODI water and specialized remineralising agents to create consistent, optimal water parameters. Compatibility Can be keep together with any other shrimps (if the water values match). Will cross breed with any other caridina cantonensis species, but not to any neocaridina cherry shrimp species
Food: Omnivorous, feeds on algae, biofilm and commercial shrimp foods. One of the most stable and natural ways to feed your Caridina shrimp is to add Botanicals to the tank. Bamboo is by far the best as this is the primary vegitation in the natural location. The high amount of Indigestible fibres in Bamboo leaves mean that they last in the water growing biofilm and micro-organisms longer and provide food while breaking down slowly and thus meaning less chance of fouling the water when compared to other leaf types. Please avoid feeding your shrimp with any foods that contains large amounts of copper.
Difficulty Suitable for beginners but starting with Neocaridina is recommended.
